When Madrid River proposal was carried out, the old Calderon Stadium surroundings remained undeveloped.
Along with the empty footprint left by the demolition of the old Mahou Beer Factory, these two land lots have created a massive urban grid-void in the middle of Madrid.
This proposal fills the empty urban spaces with new accesses to the river, new amenities and unexpected uses across the river.
